The C3-Library for International Development is the largest education and research library in Austria dedicated to international development, women and gender issues, as well as global learning. It is open to the public, and provides an open space for learning, training and information. Besides printed books and journals the library holdings include a growing number of electronic resources. Electronic resources can be researched through C3Search+.

Our collections:

  • approx. 70,000 academic volumes
  • approx. 200 current editions of journals on international, development and feminist issues
  • approx. 2,000 educational materials and games
  • the "Missio" Special Collection on theology and development
  • the Special Collection "Latin America" on the economics, politics, history, societies and ecology in the Latin-American Countries
  • films and documentaries
  • CDs and audio features
  • fiction from the countries of the Global South
  • picture books, children's books and fiction for young readers
  • national as well as international newspapers and periodicals

In addition to its comprehensive stock, the library features:

  • pleasant spaces for work and research
  • communication and reading areas
  • a viewing station
  • a small studio for individuals and groups
  • two conference rooms (upon previous reservation and at affordable rates)
